- CFE for 8+ years (ACFE Certification #749158)
- Lean Six Sigma CPA Green Belt for 7+ years, The Ohio State University

As a fractional CFO Matthew is known for his fluency in accurate financial reporting and the processes that deliver it. However, his greatest strength lies in connecting with people. Matthew excels as an assertive communicator, and he enjoys the thrill of solutions that deliver on the bottom line for the operation and its people.
In addition to accounting and finance consulting, as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Matthew is retained by clients to investigate and report on various forensic engagements involving known or suspected fraud. This includes fraud risk evaluations, contract disputes, occupational fraud, and board member breaches of duty.
Over the years, Matthew has developed specialized assurance and M&A services for various industries, including construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and nonprofit sectors. His Lean Six Sigma Green Belt complements the efficiency focus in his internal controls work, especially for implementing AI and other technologies to automate client tasks and reporting.
In the community, Matthew serves as a Guardian ad Litem in the 12th Judicial Circuit advocating for abused and neglected children in the dependency court system. This is complemented by his work as Treasurer of the Children’s Guardian Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that directly funds the need for normalcy of these children. As a United States Marine Corps combat veteran (Iraq), he is actively involved in his local VFW Post 12055, where he chairs the finance committee.
